Senior year was a year of growth, exploring, and trying new things. I travelled to several new places, joined new clubs, took on leadership roles, and found a CO-OP that I really like. I made an extra effort throughout the year to set and accomplish more goals and to broaden my interests.
This year I visited Oregon, Washington, Chicago, and Shenandoah National Park. I saw the breathtaking crater lake, swam on the west coast for the first time in a decade, immersed myself in the culture of Chicago, and hiked throughout Shenandoah. I realized two things after these experiences: I love to travel and want to make that a staple of my adulthood, and I would like to live somewhere with easy access to nature and the beach after graduation.
Last summer I realized how much I enjoyed the honors program and that I wanted to get more involved on campus. I joined the ambassadors team within the honors program after realizing that and after a year of learning and working on the team, I joined the honors ambassador leadership team. My time as an ambassador helped me to make more friends, learn more about the honors program, and to manage my time efficiently. I quickly found that I really enjoy talking about the program and answering questions from prospective students. Since joined the leadership team,
Since summer of last year until now, I have been working as a machine learning and training data coop at Kinetic Vision. This coop has aligned with my goals and interests very well and consistently provides me with interesting and challenging work. I have learned a lot about my interests, goals, and the industry. My time here has made me very excited for my future both at this company and in the industry.
